本文旨在釐清方東美與劉述先對儒家「道統」與「學統」的概念理解、詮釋以及相互關係。文中指出劉述先的文化哲學承繼方東美的睿識,而建構其學統觀。同時,其道統觀主要受當代新儒家的影響,亦受方東美肯定「生生而和諧」之天人合一理想,這是中國哲學的一貫之道。
The article aims to clarify Thome H. Fang’s and Liu Shu-Xian’s concept understandings and interpretations of the “orthodox transmission system” and the “academic transmission system” in Confucianism as well as the mutual relationship between the two systems. It points out that Liu’s cultural philosophy was constructed by following Fang’s wise views and establishing his own view of the academic transmission system. At the same time, his view of the orthodox transmission system was mainly influenced by contemporary new Confucianism and Fang’s affirmation of the ideal of nature-human unity “endless propagation and comprehensive harmony,” which is the consistent way of Chinese philosophy.
