This paper attempts to clarify the categorical differentiation between musicology, to which professional inquiry into anything related to music appropriately belongs, and the aesthetics of music, to which inquiry into axiology appropriately belongs, due to the latter’s involvement of aesthesis factor and connection with the invocation of life. Any study of aesthetics of music should begin with the understanding of this primary categorical differentiation.

This paper finally reveals that music is the masterwork of the voice of human beings' creativity and aesthetics is the invocation of the optimal value of human beings. The connection of music and aesthetics presents human beings'expectation of "Taihe," the coincidence of the initial state of the sounds. By means of "Yuele" form (or emotional release), music expresses what language cannot express. The aesthetics of music is the decoding formula of the whole process of codification.
